Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of clerical or administrative support experience.
• Must pass fingerprint background check and enrollment in the RAP Back program per County policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pre-schedules prisoner visits and records visitor information; answers questions on jail policies, booking, charges, bail, and incarceration length.
• Answers and routes calls; assists attorneys, judges, and bail bondsmen; handles urgent calls including threats; directs inquiries to appropriate jail departments.
• Checks in visitors, provides orientation, coordinates visits from legal advisors and healthcare providers.
• Monitors jail areas and directs movement of visitors; assists in movement to visitation areas.
• Runs warrants and record checks using BCI, III, and OMS; screens mail and packages for contraband; handles inmate accounts and notary services.
