Job summary

University System of Maryland Office seeks a Higher Education in Prison Field Coordinator to implement retention and reentry strategies, build alumni networks, and coordinate regional education/reentry hubs across Maryland. The role supports campuses and community partners in expanding access for justice-impacted students.

The position is a one-year contract with potential renewal, reporting to the ASA director, and requires collaboration across USM institutions and external organizations.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in reentry support, student services, workforce development, social services, or related fields.
• Experience working with diverse or underserved populations.
• Experience building relationships with community partners, students, clients, or program participants.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of retention, reentry, and student success strategies across USM and partner institutions.
• Help campuses develop practices to transition students from prison campuses to community campuses.
• Develop training materials and conduct trainings on best practices for justice-impacted college students.
