The Chronicle of Higher Education, Inc. seeks part-time adjunct faculty to teach Introduction to Software Applications in the Sinclair College prison education program across multiple Ohio locations.

This role focuses on day, evening, and weekend classes in a face-to-face setting within correctional facilities. Ideal candidates have a master’s degree in a related field or 18 graduate hours, solid Microsoft Office skills, and a commitment to improving student outcomes through innovative teaching

Qualifications

• Must hold a master’s degree in a related field or a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in related field.
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software Applications required.
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies.

Responsibilities

• Teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare syllabi for all assigned sections according to policies.
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies and use instructional technology.
• Maintain records of student progress and submit final grade rosters on time.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
