Job summary

Sinclair Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach ENG 1101 and ENG 1131 in person at multiple Ohio correctional sites. The position is open to residents of OH, IN, KY or those able to work in one of these states. Minimum master’s degree in English or 18 graduate hours are required.

Compensation starts at $1,046 per credit hour assigned to teach, with benefits aligned for part-time roles. Prior teaching and commitment to student success are valued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in English or a master’s with at least 18 graduate credits in English.
• Ability to teach ENG 1101 and ENG 1131 (business writing and composition).
• Experience with innovative strategies to improve student learning.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare syllabi and adhere to department policies.
• Employ appropriate teaching strategies and use instructional technology.
