Job summary

Sinclair Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach communication in prison education settings across multiple Ohio locations. This face-to-face role involves teaching day, evening, and weekend courses in Chillicothe, Orient, Dayton, Columbus, London, Lima, Marysville, Lancaster, and other sites.

Starting pay is $1,046 per credit hour. Applicants must reside in OH, IN, or KY or work within those states, with background checks required before hire.

Qualifications

• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred.
• Must be able to teach face-to-face in a prison education setting.
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare and submit syllabi for assigned sections per policies.
• Use appropriate teaching strategies and instructional technology.
• Modify methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain records of student progress and submit final grade rosters.
• Ensure confidentiality of student information.
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote success.
• Cannot exceed 12 credit hours per semester.
