Job summary

Sinclair Community College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Business Information Systems in our Prison Education program across multiple Ohio locations. This part‑time role requires commitment to higher education and the unique environment of prison education.

The position requires a master’s degree (or 18 graduate hours), prior teaching experience, and ability to teach face‑to‑face in a prison setting. Starting pay is $1,046 per credit hour.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field or Master’s degree with at least 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework required.
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software Applications required.
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies.

Responsibilities

• Teach adjunct curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare syllabi for all assigned sections per policies.
• Use instructional technology where appropriate.
