Sinclair Community College is seeking part-time (adjunct) Sociology faculty to teach in the prison education program at multiple Ohio locations. Courses run day, evening, and weekend to accommodate learners in correctional facilities.

The role requires a master's in sociology or equivalent and prior teaching experience. You must be able to teach face-to-face in prison settings and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in sociology or Master’s with 18 grad hours in sociology required.
• Evidence of successful teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of modern educational technology and multimedia instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach curriculum developed by the department in prison education settings.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare syllabi for assigned sections per policies.
