Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a press operator to support the White Oak, Maryland print plant, performing daily press operations and maintaining equipment with a focus on cost efficiency and quality. You will prepare, operate and maintain newspaper printing presses and related pressroom gear, ensuring color accuracy, productivity and material efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires 0–1 years of relevant experience with training provided, strong communication, and availability for nights,

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of relevant experience, willing to train.
• Good color perception and mechanically inclined.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work on-call with short notice.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily press operations in the manufacturing of Dow Jones' and contract print publications, ensuring high quality using existing technology.
• Prepare, operate and maintain newspaper printing presses and all associated pressroom equipment.
• Meet customer expectations for reproduction quality, content freshness and productivity while managing materials costs.
• Work in a fast-paced newspaper production environment.
