Dow Jones is seeking a Press Operator for our White Oak, Maryland print plant to perform daily press operations in manufacturing Dow Jones' and contract print publications with high-quality standards.

Based under the Foreman/Woman, you will prepare, operate, and maintain newspaper presses and related equipment, work nights and weekends, and join a fast-paced production team with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of relevant experience; training available.
• Good color perception; mechanically inclined.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on-call on short notice; nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain newspaper printing presses and equipment.
• Set color and registration; perform general pressroom maintenance.
• Meet quality, freshness, and productivity targets while controlling material costs.
• Work in a fast-paced newspaper production environment.
