Job summary

Dow Jones is hiring at its White Oak print plant in Maryland to perform daily press operations in the manufacturing of our publications, including The Wall Street Journal and Barron’s. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and exposure to state-of-the-art printing technology.

You will operate and maintain presses, meet quality and productivity targets, and work in a fast-paced production environment while adhering to safety and cost controls. Foreman/Woman supervision.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of relevant experience; willing to train.
• Good color perception and mechanically inclined.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work on-call with short notice.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, operate and maintain printing presses and pressroom equipment.
• Set color/registration; operate/maintain plates and press equipment; perform routine cleaning.
• Meet quality and freshness targets while managing materials costs.
• Work in a fast-paced newspaper production environment.
