Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a dedicated mailroom operator at the Chicopee, MA print plant. You will perform daily mailroom operations for Dow Jones and contract publications, ensuring quality while managing materials and equipment efficiently.

Responsibilities include setting up and running mailroom equipment, maintaining records, and collaborating with supervisors to meet production goals. The role requires physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• The ability to stand for 7.25 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• A High School diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with business PC applications and mailroom controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the mailroom for the nightly operation of Dow Jones & Co. publications.
• Discard all printed waste into bailers or compactors.
• Improve the Production Quality Score by monitoring reproduction quality, content freshness, productivity and material cost.
• Maintain open communication with supervisor and colleagues to reach department goals.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Meet performance standards, attend training and complete assignments.
• Follow all policies and maintain operation and maintenance records; work with production manager on equipment maintenance priorities.
