Job summary

ProAmpac in Appleton, Wisconsin is seeking a Printing Press Assistant to support the Printing Department. You’ll follow quality requirements, prepare for orders, package finished rolls, monitor viscosities, and handle ink according to specifications.

This hands-on role offers a 2-2-3, 12-hour rotating shift, forklift work, and opportunities to fill in for a Press Operator. A high school diploma and basic math/mechanical skills help you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience with printing equipment a plus.
• Basic mechanical and math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Follow quality requirements to meet or exceed expectations.
• Prepares for upcoming orders.
• Packages/wraps finished rolls.
• Monitors viscosities and completes PH forms.
• Finds ink on specification sheet and disperses.
• Uses forklift/clamp trucks to transport product.
• Ability to fill-in for the Press Operator job when necessary.

Shift:

2, 2, 3 rotating between days and nights every two weeks

Physical Demands

• The employee must frequently position or move up to 25 - 50 pounds.
• Lifting or moving items weighing greater than 50 pounds requires the use of lifting equipment or co-worker assistance.

Work Environment

• Work primarily in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Hearing protection, safety shoes, vision protection and other necessary PPE as required.
