Job summary

Thomson Reuters Corp. in Eagan, Minnesota, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production machinery on our Core Print Solutions team.

You will work across departments and shifts, read blueprints, troubleshoot, and use hand tools and measurement devices; the role offers a 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM and includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with volt/ohmmeter, dial indicator, micrometer.
• Welding, brazing, and soldering capabilities.
• Reading and understanding blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose machinery malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate repair status to operators, supervisors, engineers, and managers.
• Reconcile work assignments at the end of each shift.
• Perform lubrication procedures and electro-mechanical inspections for preventative maintenance.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and replace components such as motors, gearboxes, servos, sensors, and drives.
• Read and interpret technical information and blueprints to complete repairs or modifications.
• Operate machine shop and material handling equipment as needed.
• Identify and solve problems requiring nonstandard solutions.
• Collaborate with teams across departments and shifts.
