Job summary

Thomson Reuters in Eagan, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Core Print Solutions team on the 3rd shift. You will install, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production machinery, collaborating across departments and shifts to solve nonstandard issues.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience, hands-on electrical/mechanical skills, and proficiency with meters, lathes, milling machines, welding, and blueprints.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree or equivalent experience.
• Computer literacy and ability to read technical information and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of air, hydraulic, and vacuum systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose machinery malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate repair status to operators, supervisors, engineers, and managers.
• Reconcile work assignments at the end of each shift.
• Perform lubrication procedures and electro-mechanical inspections for preventative maintenance.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and replace motors, gearboxes, servos, switches and sensors.
• Read, interpret blueprints to complete repairs, fabrications, or modifications.
• Operate machine shop and material handling equipment as needed.
• Identify and solve problems requiring nonstandard solutions.
• Prioritize and complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with teams across departments and shifts.
