Job summary

Heartland Label Printers is seeking an Operations Lead to support safety, quality, production, setup, and run speed objectives. This role partners with the Shift Operations Manager to meet daily performance goals while fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.

You will provide leadership, coaching, and technical support to press, coater, die cutter operators, and setup technicians, and serve as backup for shift leadership when the Operations Manager is unavailable.

Qualifications

• One to five years' experience in flexographic printing.
• Coating experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical certification or an associate degree in printing processes.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background check, and clear MVR.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and train team members to improve safety, quality, productivity, and workplace culture.
• Monitor real-time shop floor performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist with shift communications, reporting, timekeeping, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Perform leadership functions, including corrective action when covering the Operations Manager.
• Review job orders, production requirements, and ensure proper setup and operation of equipment.
