RR Donnelley & Sons in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform visual inspections of printed materials and ensure conformance to customer specifications. You will follow SOPs, record defects, prepare reports, and mentor team members in quality practices.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years in QA within a printing environment, and strong communication and organizational skills. Competitive hourly pay with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires good knowledge of general administrative and manufacturing operations procedures and knowledge of job specific processes key to successfully execute and complete the duties of the job.
• Strong oral and written communication skills sufficient to explain quality policy, methods and/or procedures when completing assignments, as well as provide a level of detail required to resolve issues.
• Requires very good organizational skills sufficient to accomplish work by established deadlines and ability to coordinate phases of work with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform "samples" selection and package for shipment.
• Perform visual inspection of random samples of product selected during a production run, or post production, looking for defects.
• Follows inspection checklist and records any identified defects.
• Follow SOPs to ensure product meets quality conformance specified by the customer.
• Prepares written reports and notifies management of defects.
• Identify potential issues and involve Lead/management to determine solutions.
• May assist with special projects or more complex customer orders.
• May assist with disposition of defective or non-conforming product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Training and mentoring new and existing employees to improve team performance.
