Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform visual inspections of printed materials and ensure they meet customer quality conformance standards.

Responsibilities include sample selection, defect detection, and documentation, following SOPs, and reporting issues to management. The role requires 2+ years in a printing QA environment, strong communication, and solid organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years of experience in a quality control/assurance function in a printing environment.
• Knowledge of general administrative and manufacturing operations procedures and job-specific processes.
• Strong written and oral communication to explain quality policy and resolve issues.
• Excellent organizational skills to meet deadlines and coordinate with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform chosen sample selection and package for shipment.
• Visually inspect random samples for defects such as ragged edges, torn pages, incorrect bindings, color issues, dirt, or other out-of-spec defects.
• Follow inspection checklist and document identified defects.
• Follow SOPs to ensure conformance to customer quality standards.
• Prepare written reports and notify management of defects.
• Identify issues and escalate to lead or management for solutions.
• Assist with special projects, complex orders, or disposition of non-conforming product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
