Job summary

RRD is seeking a Print Production Specialist in Ohio to coordinate the production of printed materials from start to finish for diverse customers. You will engage with clients, translate their needs into precise manufacturing instructions, and ensure quality before production begins.

Responsibilities include coordinating with internal plants and external vendors, reviewing proofs, maintaining schedules, and assisting with billing paperwork.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant administrative/operational support in manufacturing operations or office environment.
• Advanced knowledge of technology including computers and software programs such as MS Office.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills across departments.
• Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines and priorities.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production of printed materials and related services from initial contact to final disposition of the customer's product.
• Engage customers to gather job requirements and translate into detailed manufacturing/kitting instructions and shipping/postal instructions.
• Provide quality review for other Print Production Specialists to ensure information is accurate before production.
• Enter and verify job instructions in manufacturing systems and queue in the production schedule.
• Communicate with customers throughout production about status and changes; obtain approvals as needed.
• Coordinate production with internal plants and external vendors as required.
• Resolve customer or manufacturing issues and establish root causes; suggest appropriate responses.
• Assist in pre-sales discussions about capabilities and requirements to produce successful jobs.
• Monitor progress of jobs and ensure final product meets customer requirements and standards.
• Tally final production runs and assemble paperwork for billing.
