Full-Time | On-Site in Midtown Manhattan, New York City
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
Compensation: $55,000-$75,000 per year, depending on experience
ABG Print is a fast-paced commercial printing company serving many of New York City's leading corporations, financial firms, nonprofits, event agencies, and professional services organizations.
Family-owned and operated since 1992, we specialize in producing high-quality, time-sensitive print projects. A large percentage of our work is received, produced, and delivered within 24 hours, which means strong project management, communication, and attention to detail are critical to everything we do.
We are looking for an experienced Print Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from initial request through final delivery.
This position combines print expertise, estimating, customer communication, production coordination, problem-solving, and follow-through. You will work directly with clients while coordinating closely with our Production, Client Services, and outside vendor partners to make sure projects are produced accurately, on time, and to our quality standards.
The right person understands printing, enjoys solving problems, communicates clearly, and takes pride in making complicated projects feel easy for the customer.
Our customers should feel that their project is in capable hands.
Prior printing experience is strongly preferred for this position.
A candidate does not need to know every piece of equipment or every production method we use, but they should arrive with a meaningful understanding of how commercial print projects move from specifications and files through production and delivery.
At ABG, we believe in constantly striving to better our service, our company, and ourselves.
We expect Project Managers to learn from every project. When something goes wrong, the goal is not simply to fix that one job. We want to understand why it happened and look for ways to prevent it from happening again.
You should be comfortable receiving feedback, examining your own work critically, and improving your processes over time.
When you own a project, you are accountable for the outcome.
That does not mean doing every task yourself. It means knowing where the project stands, communicating with the people involved, identifying problems, and making sure the project reaches the finish line.
If information is missing, find it. If you are unsure, ask. If something is falling behind, address it.
ABG operates quickly, and our customers depend on us for time-sensitive work.
Strong communication is therefore a core part of the job.
We expect Project Managers to communicate rapidly, clearly, and proactively with customers, Production, vendors, and other departments.
A customer should rarely need to ask us, "What's happening with my job?"
Everyone at ABG works toward three standards:
Our customers rely on us for important, time-sensitive projects. Do what you say you will do and communicate when circumstances change.
Details matter in printing. Specifications, quantities, files, finishing, addresses, timing, and delivery instructions all matter. Check your work.
Move quickly. Answer questions. Communicate status. Do not allow a small issue to become a large one because nobody responded.
You enjoy managing a lot of moving pieces.
You naturally follow up.
When a customer sends an incomplete request, you know which questions to ask. When something looks wrong, you investigate it rather than assuming someone else has checked it. When a deadline is tight, you communicate early and make a plan.
You are comfortable making decisions, but you also know when to involve Production or another team member.
You do not view project management as simply passing information between customers and Production. You see your job as owning the outcome.
You also enjoy learning. Printing is full of unusual projects, changing technology, and situations that do not fit perfectly into a checklist. The strongest Project Managers become better every year because they remain curious.
Salary: $55,000-$75,000 per year, depending on experience
