Job summary

Piworld is seeking an experienced Account Manager / Production Specialist to oversee client relationships and projects from order through production, mailing, and delivery.

The role combines customer service with production knowledge, including variable data printing (VDP), digital printing, and direct mail, with FusionPro and Printer's Plan familiarity highly desirable.

Print & Direct MailAccount Manager / ProductionSpecialist

Position Summary

We are seekingan experiencedAccount Managerfor a commercialprinting and directmail company. Thisposition is responsiblefor managing clientrelationships and projectsfrom initialorder through production, mailing, and delivery.

The ideal candidatecombines strong customer-service and project-management skills withhands-on knowledgeofvariable data printing(VDP), digital printing, and direct mailproduction. Experience withFusionProis highly desirable, along with familiaritywithPrinter's Planand digital productionequipment.

This is ahands-on positionfor someone whounderstands that successfulprint and mailprojects require bothexcellent client communicationand strong productionknowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as theprimary point ofcontact forassigned clients.
• Develop strong, professionalrelationships with customersand understand theirbusiness and mailingneeds.
• Receive, review, andquote print anddirect mail projects.
• Coordinate projects fromestimate and orderentry through proofing, production, finishing,mailing, and completion.
• Reviewcustomer artwork andfiles for printand mailing requirements.
• Coordinate variable dataprinting projects, includingdata files, personalization, versioning, barcodes,and mailing requirements.
• Work with clientsto obtain andverify mailing listsand data.
• Create, modify, proof, andtroubleshoot VDP jobsusingFusionPro.
• Communicate effectivelywith prepress, production, digital printing, bindery, and mailing departments.
• Review proofs andobtaincustomer approval beforeproduction.
• Monitor job schedulesand communicate status, changes, and potentialproblems to customers.
• Identify production issuesbefore they becomecostly mistakes.
• Assist with troubleshootingprint, data, andmailing problems.
• Maintain accurate jobinformation, pricing, specifications, and customercommunications.
• UsePrinter's Planfor estimating, jobentry, scheduling, invoicing, or other production-management functions asrequired.
• Operate and/orassist with operationof digital printingequipment when needed.
• Understand basic color, paper, finishing, addressing, and mailing requirements.
• Work with vendorsand outside serviceproviders when necessary.
• Help identify opportunitiesfor additional servicesand businesswith existing customers.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years ofexperience incommercial printing, digitalprinting, direct mail, or a relatedproduction environment.
• Strong customer-serviceand communication skills.
• Excellent organizationaland project-managementabilities.
• Ability to managemultiple jobs anddeadlines simultaneously.
• Strong attentionto detail.
• Ability to readand understand printspecifications and productionrequirements.
• Experience working withvariable data andpersonalized print.
• Working knowledge ofFusionProorcomparable VDP software.
• Comfortable working withExcel/CSV files, mailing lists, andbasic data concepts.
• Ability to troubleshootproblems and communicatesolutions clearly toboth customersand production personnel.
• Ability to workindependently while coordinatingclosely with aproduction team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withPrinter's Plan.
• Experience operatingdigital production printingequipment.
• Experience with directmail production andUSPS mailing requirements.
• Knowledge of mailingsoftware, postal presorting, NCOA/Move Update, CASS, barcoding, and addressing.
• Experience with finishingequipment such ascutters, folders, booklet makers, orinserters.
• Knowledge of AdobeAcrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
• Experience estimating printand direct mailprojects.
• Experience working withcustomer databases, spreadsheets, and data files.
• Familiarity with inkjet, toner, or high-speed digital productionenvironments.
