AT&T is seeking a Principal Windows Server Engineer to lead enterprise Windows Server environments across on-premises and cloud-integrated platforms. The role emphasizes security, automation, and lifecycle management with collaboration across security, storage, virtualization, cloud, and operations teams.

The candidate will drive patch management, OS upgrades, and service deployment while maintaining standards, documentation, and compliance in a high-availability setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of Windows Server administration experience in a large enterprise environment.
• Hands-on with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, IIS, Failover Clustering, DNS/DHCP; patching and virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Manage server OS across 2016/2019/2022 and lifecycle management.
• Plan and execute OS patching and vulnerability remediation with compliance reporting.
• Develop and maintain automation for deployment, monitoring agents, and tooling.
• Lead upgrade/migration initiatives with validation and testing.
• Monitor performance and capacity, optimize OS configurations for stability.
