Job summary

AT&T is seeking a Principal Windows Server Engineer to join the Infrastructure Engineering team. You will engineer, administer, and secure Windows Server environments supporting critical business applications and services.

The ideal candidate excels in patch management, OS upgrades, performance optimization, and automation, collaborating across security, storage, virtualization, cloud, and operations to ensure a reliable server platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 7+ years of Windows Server administration experience in a large enterprise.
• Hands-on with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, AD, GP, PowerShell, IIS, clustering, DNS/DHCP.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Lead patching, vulnerability management, and compliance reporting.
• Coordinate OS upgrades, migrations, and validation testing.
• Develop automation for deployment using PowerShell, DSC, Ansible, and IaC frameworks.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and optimize OS configurations.
• Maintain security baselines and AD/GP administration.
