Job summary

AT&T is seeking a Principal Windows Server Engineer to join the Infrastructure Engineering team. You will own Windows Server administration, patch management, OS upgrades, and security hardening across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining Windows Server platforms, coordinating upgrades, and building automation with PowerShell, Ansible, and IaC frameworks. Office presence is required at multiple locations, including Alpharetta, GA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7+ years of Windows Server administration experience in a large enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, IIS, Failover Clustering, DNS/DHCP.
• Experience with enterprise patching solutions and virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V).

Responsibilities

• Engineer, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Manage server OS upgrades and lifecycle activities.
• Plan patching, coordination with stakeholders, and remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Develop automation and IaC using PowerShell, DSC, Ansible, and related tools.
• Support security baselines, AD/Group Policy administration, and compliance efforts.
• Produce dashboards and reports on patch compliance and server health.
• Provide after-hours support for incidents and outages.
