Job summary

AT&T seeks a Principal Windows Server Engineer to join the Infrastructure Engineering team to oversee enterprise Windows Server platforms, security, automation, and lifecycle management. You will collaborate with security, storage, virtualization and cloud teams to ensure a secure, reliable server environment.

The role requires deep Windows Server administration expertise, patch management, OS upgrades, performance optimization, and infrastructure automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of Windows Server administration experience in a large enterprise environment
• Hands-on with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, IIS, Windows Failover Clustering, DNS/DHCP
• Experience with enterprise patching solutions and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
• Experience with infrastructure in regulated environments and security/compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Engineer, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments
• Manage server OS patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activities
• Lead upgrade/migration initiatives and coordination with application teams
• Develop automation and Infrastructure-as-Code using PowerShell, DSC, Ansible, Terraform
• Create governance, runbooks, and executive dashboards for server health and compliance
