Job summary

HP Inc. is seeking a Principal, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) & Inventory Economics to lead the global VMI strategy, ownership models, and working capital optimization across the product lifecycle. You will partner with Inventory Planning, Procurement, Finance, and Operations to optimize inventory economics and governance.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, advanced analytics, and cross-functional leadership to deliver measurable financial benefits and improved supply continuity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in supply chain, inventory planning, or related fields.
• Deep expertise in VMI, supplier-owned inventory, and working capital optimization.
• Experience with excess inventory management and supplier returns preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern HP's global VMI strategy, operating model, and performance framework.
• Lead inventory ownership strategies across suppliers, hubs, and factories.
• Drive inventory reduction and working capital improvements while maintaining service levels.
• Develop financial models and governance for inventory monetization and E&O management.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, and Operations to execute initiatives and report results.
• Leverage analytics and AI to improve entitlement, risk prediction, and monetization decisions.
