Impinj in Seattle is seeking a Principal UX/UI Designer to set the design direction for our software solutions. You will own the end-to-end experience for our product portfolio, define the design system, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Innovation leadership to shape the roadmap.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, or related field or equivalent experience.
15+ years of professional UX/UI or product design experience, including 3+ years at Staff/Principal level.
Experience shaping design systems and collaborating with product/engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end user experience, from problem framing and concept exploration through high-fidelity design and production handoff.
Set and evolve the design language, component library, and interaction patterns across the product portfolio.
Lead discovery and definition on ambiguous problems, translating business objectives into design strategy.
Partner with PM and Engineering leadership to influence roadmap priorities and trade-offs.
Mentor engineers and product managers on UX fundamentals and craft.
Plan and interpret user research and usability testing with qualitative and quantitative signals.
Represent design in executive reviews and communicate rationale and impact.
