Job summary

Delinea is seeking a Principal UX Designer to join our established User Experience team in a role that sits at the intersection of craft, collaboration, and leadership. You’ll guide design for a significant product area within our identity security platform and partner with product, engineering, and design leadership to shape practices across teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer.
• Portfolio demonstrating design skill and leadership on complex, cross-functional, or ambiguous problems.
• Deep expertise in interaction design and user experience principles.
• Strong leadership and project management skills across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• High proficiency with Figma and modern design/prototyping tools, plus hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools in your design workflow.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and defend design thinking to senior and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept to delivery, from early strategy through complex interaction models, workflows, and polished prototypes.
• Set a bar for craft and collaboration that other designers and writers seek out and learn from.
• Partner with and facilitate design reviews with product and engineering leadership, ensuring designs are scoped, feasible, and executed accurately.
• Regularly mentor junior designers, providing feedback on craft, process, and design best practices.
• Incorporate emerging design trends into Delinea’s product design and evaluate what’s worth adopting.
• Contribute to and evolve the Delinea Design System for consistent, scalable design across the product portfolio.
• Influence design practice and standards for the broader design and product organization.
