Vanguard Group is seeking a Principal UX Designer with deep expertise in Design Systems to lead the Advisor Experience System (AXS). This hands-on leadership role focuses on creating reusable components, tokens, and patterns that scale across products and platforms, while collaborating closely with engineers to ensure the system remains accessible and robust.

The role emphasizes shaping technical direction, maintaining design quality, and coaching teams in component thinking and system thinking.

Formación

• Significant UX and product design experience, including enterprise design systems.
• Ability to design reusable components, patterns, tokens, and templates across platforms.
• Strong visual and interaction design craft with attention to accessibility.
• Experience partnering with engineers to align design and code.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the technical design and evolution of AXS components, patterns, tokens, templates, and system foundations.
• Translate complex product needs into reusable, accessible, scalable solutions.
• Own architecture of components and patterns, including states and responsive behavior.
• Establish a high bar for interaction and systems design quality across the library.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure design and code alignment.
• Create and maintain clear documentation and usage guidance for designers and developers.
• Identify gaps and opportunities to simplify the system before they become problems.
• Guide teams in applying design-system standards and accessibility practices.
