Vanguard is seeking a Principal UX Designer to lead the Design Systems and Practices (DS+P) team in shaping the Advisor Experience System (AXS). You will drive architecture for components, tokens, and patterns, partnering with engineers to ensure scalable, accessible, and high-quality experiences across products and platforms.

This hands-on design leadership role focuses on elevating system quality, documentation, and pragmatic design decisions while guiding teams through complex design problems

Qualifications

• Significant UX and product design experience, including enterprise design systems or scaled pattern ecosystems.
• Expert knowledge of reusable system design, components, tokens, patterns, and documentation.
• Strong visual and interaction design craft across typography, layout, hierarchy, and responsive patterns.

Responsabilités

• Lead the technical design and evolution of the design system components, patterns, and tokens.
• Translate complex needs into reusable, accessible, scalable solutions.
• Own architecture of components and patterns, including variants, states, and responsive behavior.
• Establish high standards for interaction, visual, and systems design across the library.
• Partner with front‑end engineers to align design and code.
