Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Sr. UX Principal Designer to serve as a high-level IC, operating at theSenior Director level, without direct reports.

You will shape the overarching UX vision, drive holistic system thinking, and partner with senior stakeholders to align design with business goals across complex product ecosystems. You will craft design systems, prototypes, and architectures while pushing the boundaries of what is possible, combining qualitative research with market strategy to deliver

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in UX, Product Design, or HCI at principal-level.
• World-class portfolio demonstrating systems thinking and enterprise-scale problem solving.
• Ability to build consensus with C-suite leaders and translate design thinking into business value.
• Conviction with humility; openness to data and feedback.
• Deep ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into design directives.
• Resilience to drive multi-year design transformations in a matrixed org.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overarching user experience vision across our most complex product ecosystems.
• Connect dots across product lines to ensure a seamless end-to-end journey.
• Architect scalable design systems and interaction paradigms for future needs.
• Be the standard-bearer for design quality, including high-fidelity prototypes and journey maps.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to align design with business objectives and present decisions with data.
