Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools is seeking a Principal to lead instructional programs and school operations. You will supervise staff, coordinate curriculum alignment, and manage resources to promote a safe and engaging learning environment.

The role requires expertise in educational leadership, collaboration with central office, and strong communication with families and community partners.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for Maryland Supervisor of Instruction/Assistant Principal/Principal licensure or MSDE Administrator II certification.
• Experience as a school-based administrator required; track record of improving instructional programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional leadership to align curriculum, instruction and assessment across the school.
• Develop and monitor a School Improvement Plan aligned with the district strategic plan and state growth goals.
• Coordinate and supervise staff, schedule and school operations to ensure a safe, productive learning environment.
• Engage parents, students, staff and community partners to support student achievement and school culture.
• Manage budget, resources and facilities in collaboration with central office staff.
