Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead TRMC program activities, focusing on ICD/EICD governance, risk management, and cross-IPT coordination. You will manage defect analyses, drive engineering rigor, and mentor teams to ensure program success across development, production, and sustainment.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance or eligibility, optional DoD Top Secret clearance, and a commutable distance to the work site in the United States.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's in STEM for Principal Engineer; 3 years with a Master's; or 0 years with a PhD.
• Experience executing multiple projects and Cross IPT collaboration.
• Experience interacting with Customer counterparts.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain Program Access (PAR) in a reasonable time.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance preferred.
• Experience in Autonomous Systems Programs preferred; Familiarity with ICDs preferred.
• Experience on programs with Development, Production and Sustainment.
• Familiarity with Risk Management processes preferred.
• Candidate must be within commutable distance from the work site.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with government clearance and certain restricted positions.

• Maintain Internal and External Interface Control Documents (ICD/EICD)
• Manage risk and generate solutions for defects
• Perform critical ICD/EICD updates and investigate defects as part of Defect Working Groups
• Manage processes, tasks, and resources supporting program requests within the business area portfolio
• Apply systems engineering principles to defect analysis and resolution
• Develop risk mitigation plans
• Analyze ICD/EICDs for engineering rigor
• Coordinate with program stakeholders and IPTs to understand Communications thread and impacts to the program
• Manage and track engineering ICD/EICD changes and their impact across the program
• Report to the TRMC System Engineering lead

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in STEM for Principal Engineer; 3 years with a Master's in STEM; or 0 years with a PhD
• Experience directly executing multiple projects and performing Cross IPT Collaboration
• Experience directly interacting with Customer counterparts
• Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance preferred
• Experience in Autonomous Systems Programs preferredFamiliarity with Interface Control Documents preferred
