Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified engineer to support LTAMDS and GhostEye radar initiatives. The role focuses on systems engineering, requirements development, and verification in both simulated and real-world environments.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hardware and software into mission-ready systems. The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and at least five years of engineering experience, with proficiency in MATLAB, C++, and model-based engineering.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Support Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities activities for LTAMDS and GhostEye Radars
• Develop requirements, algorithms, concepts of operations, and system interfaces
• Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation
• Test systems in simulated and real-world environments
• Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through data analysis and debugging
• Collaborate across functions to improve performance and resolve system issues
• Develop and execute models for system-performance prediction and verification and validation
• Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems and evaluate functionality and impact
• Work with and lead multidisciplinary teams
• Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and communicate results
• Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data
• Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers
• Travel up to 20% to support missions at RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience
• Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date
• Current Secret security clearance required on day 1
• U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools preferred
• Experience with model-based engineering preferred
• Experience developing and managing requirements preferred
• Experience developing scripts and functions with MATLAB preferred
• Experience with C++, Python, or similar preferred
• Experience generating technical documentation, such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports preferred
• Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or field supporting integration and/or verification preferred
• Experience evaluating systems using simulated environments preferred
• Experience interfacing with internal and external customers preferred
