Job summary

Amazon's Worldwide Engineering and Innovation (WWEI) seeks a Principal Business Development Manager to own partnerships, IP licensing deals, and acquisitions that advance logistics technologies from warehouse to doorstep.

You will build business cases, lead cross-functional teams, negotiate with technical partners, and brief senior leaders on risk and strategic fit. The role sits at the intersection of operations and cutting-edge tech in a fast-paced, globally influential environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end evaluation, negotiation, and execution of technology partnerships, IP licensing deals, and acquisitions in logistics automation, sortation, and last‑mile delivery.
• Build the business case for external technology opportunities and align cross‑functional stakeholders (legal, finance, engineering, supply chain, operations).
• Engage in commercial negotiations with technical/engineering counterparts who think in product terms, not deal terms.
• Advise senior leadership on deal quality, risk, and strategic fit.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external technology vendors, potential acquisition targets, and strategic partners.
• Proactively seek new business models and partner opportunities, leveraging domain expertise and independent conviction.
• Lead cross‑functional teams—including Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, and senior management—to execute on partnerships.
