As a Principal Systems Engineer within the Next Generation Avionics(NGA) group at Honeywell, your technical expertise and leadership will play a pivotalrole in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems andsolutions for the Anthem️Display Platform. You will be responsible for leadingsystem-level design efforts, ensuring compliance with industry standards, andcollaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative avionicssolutions.

You will be a leader within the team assuring that the Anthem️Display Platform meets all technical requirements, supports functional loaddeliveries, and ultimately, supports certification requirements.Youwill coordinate with the IPT leader to prioritize work packages, design goals,and objectives, provide technical leadership, and drive overall programperformance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide the definition and development of system architectures and designs to meet project and customer requirements
  • Ensure that system solutions are scalable, reliable, and align with industry best practices
  • Provide technical guidance to engineering teams, ensuring the successful execution of projects
  • Develop and execute test plans, analyze test results, and drive corrective action
  • Oversee the integration and testing of complex systems, ensuring that they meet performance and quality standards
  • Productsafety activities (FMEA, FTA,FHA, SSA, etc.)
  • Productsafetyleadership(mentoring,MOS improvements, etc.)
  • Customer& certification authorityinteraction
  • Ensure that system design aligns with Honeywell's quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Work with stakeholders to capture and manage system requirements, ensuring they are well-defined, complete, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 12+ years of experience in Systems Engineering and project guidance, includingARP-4754A, ARP-4761 as wellasDO-178Band/orDO-254 experience

  • Mastery of knowledge in systems development, integration, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Experience authoringFMEA, FTA, FHA andsafety aspects of an SSA for part 23 and part 25 aircraft
