Honeywell Datalink is an advanced suite of Avionics Communications solutions designed to enhance real-time data exchange between aircraft and ground operations. It advances aviation connectivity, improving flight operations, situational awareness, and efficiency for pilots, operators, and airlines through data connectivity in real-time. This allows pilots to make quick, informed decisions and adapt to dynamic conditions.

Honeywell Datalink platforms seamlessly integrate with various Avionics, Flight Management Systems (FMS), and Communication Management Functions (CMF), enabling pilots and operators to utilize existing systems while benefiting from enhanced real-time communication services.

As a Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer in our Communications, Navigation, and Surveillance (CN&S) group, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing sophisticated avionics systems and solutions. Your work will significantly impact the development of avionics technology for Aircraft Data Communications and FMS.

In aviation, precision is critical, and your expertise will help create systems that protect lives and streamline operations. Our Honeywell Datalink avionics solutions facilitate seamless communication and data exchange between aircraft cockpits and ground systems/network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement advanced Avionics Datalink Communications and FMS products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Systems, Software, Hardware, and Test engineers to understand customer requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Write high-level system requirements in DOORS.
  • Conduct system-level analysis and optimization.
  • Work with teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Decompose high-level requirements into low-level software requirements.
  • Perform system integration, validation, & verification.
  • Engage in model-based systems design and development.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to U.S. export control laws, candidates must be U.S. persons, defined as U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or individuals with protected status under asylum or refugee status, or those able to obtain export authorization.

Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics).
  • 6+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, preferably in avionics, aerospace, or related fields.
