Honeywell Datalink is a suite of advanced Avionics Communicationsolutions designed to enhance real-time data exchange between aircraft andground operations. It represents a significant advancement inaviationconnectivity, designed to enhance flight operations, situational awareness andimprove efficiency for pilots, operators, and airlines by leveraging dataconnectivity in real-time. Real-time access enables pilots to make informeddecisions quickly, adapting to dynamic conditions as they arise.

Honeywell Datalink platforms are designed to seamlesslyintegrate with various Avionics, Flight Management Systems (FMS) and CommunicationManagement Function (CMF) systems, ensuring that pilots and operators canutilize existing systems while benefitting from the additional real-timecommunication services.

As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer withinourCommunications, Navigation, and Surveillance (CN&S)group, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management ofsophisticated Avionics systems and solutions. In this role, you will have significant impact on the development and advancement of avionics technology for Aircraft Data Communications and Flight Management Systems (FMS).

In the high-stakes world of aviation, every detail matters,and your expertise will be fundamental in creating systems that protect livesand streamline operations. Our Honeywell Datalink Avionics Communications solutions play a crucial role in enabling seamlesscommunication and data exchange between aircraft cockpit and ground systems andcommunication networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Youwill be responsible for designing, developing and implementing advancedAvionics Datalink Communications and FMS products.
  • Collaboratewith cross-functional teams consisting of Systems, Software, Hardware and Test engineers to understand customer requirements and provide innovativesolutions
  • Authorhigh-level systems requirements in DOORs
  • Conductsystem-level analysis and optimization
  • Workwith cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration ofsystems
  • Decomposehigh-level system requirements into low-level SW requirements
  • Systemsintegration, validation, & verification
  • Model-basedsystems design and development
  • Stayupdated with the latest industry trends and technologies
  • Ensurecompliance with industry standards and regulations
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 6+years of experience in Systems Engineering, ideally in the avionics,aerospace or related disciplines

  • Proficiency in system-level analysis and optimization
  • Experiencewith system integration
  • Experience in related systems is of value i.e Avionics communication systems, datalink solutions, Flight Management Systems (FMS), satellite-based communication technologies, etc
  • Excellentproblem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledgeof FAA/EASA regulations and certification processes
  • Strongleadership and communication skills
  • Passionfor innovation and continuous learning
