JOB TITLE: Advanced Systems Engineer - Aircraft State Sensor Selection


ABOUT THE JOB:
We are seeking Advanced Systems Engineers to be part of the Next-Gen Avionics team. You will be responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Aircraft State sensor selection and navigation computations to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects, resulting in the advancement of aerospace technology and the improvement of air travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) model-based systems development
  • Requirements analysis and decomposition
  • Integration Testing
  • IMA systems/software validation & verification
  • Execution of tasks to support the program schedule

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 4+ years of experience in systems engineering; preferably model-based
  • Comprehensive knowledge in systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink or similar model-based design tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

HIGHLY PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience in model-based systems engineering for Guidance and/or Flight Control avionics products (sensor selection functionality)

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, such as Aerospace Engineering or Systems Engineering
  • Experience with IMA IO and IO Scheduling Tools (ESCAPE, PCT, HARMONIC)
  • Familiarity with the NGA System Architecture
  • Experience in complex system integration projects
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning
  • Attention to detail
