Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Principal/Senior Principal Systems Engineers to join the Embedded Infrastructure Team. You will bridge systems engineering, MBSE, and embedded software to define and verify computing platforms for defense systems.

The role requires MBSE proficiency, SysML modeling, and collaboration across software, hardware, cybersecurity, and program leadership. Relocation may be available, and active secret clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• Experience with MBSE and SysML-based architectures.
• Proficiency with Cameo System Modeler or similar MBSE tools.
• Experience across full system lifecycle, embedded software, and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage system architectures, requirements, interfaces, and verification strategies using MBSE.
• Create and maintain SysML models using Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Collaborate with embedded software teams to ensure architectures are correctly implemented.
• Define software and hardware interface requirements for embedded environments.
• Support digital engineering through model-based analysis and traceability.
• Develop verification plans ensuring complete requirements coverage.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support Agile development using JIRA, Confluence, and CM tools.
• Participate in SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, SVR reviews.
