Job summary

RTX is seeking a senior systems engineer to lead a cross-functional engineering team responsible for system design, interfaces, and verification across multiple domains. You will collaborate with government stakeholders, mentor SMEs, and drive risk management while prioritizing work to meet cost and schedule goals.

The role requires a STEM bachelor’s and 8+ years of experience across the lifecycle, with strong data-driven decision skills and familiarity with DOORS and Windchill.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience across the product lifecycle from design to fielding.
• Experience in systems engineering and integration focused on critical design.
• Ability to resolve technical challenges using data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team across system design, reliability, safety and test.
• Collaborate with JJV, JPO, and USG stakeholders on requirements and interfaces.
• Apply experience to system design, interfaces, and detail elements.
• Provide review, feedback, and lessons learned for key design elements.
• Host weekly meetings and technical interchanges with engineering and customers.
• Mentor team members and engage subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Provide daily task leadership including priority setting and execution.
• Identify, analyze, and report risks and opportunities within the program.
• Support CPT lead in cost/schedule management and BOE writing.
