Job summary

RTX (Raytheon Technologies) in Tucson, AZ is seeking Principal Systems Engineer for Processing, Guidance, & Controls to support on-site development of autonomous systems. The role requires a DoD Secret Interim clearance and U.S. citizenship.

You will develop guidance, navigation, and control algorithms, create dynamic models, and work with cross-functional teams to validate complex systems. The position is 100% on-site with possible travel, offering a competitive salary range and comprehensive

Qualifications

Requires degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field with 8+ years of experience.
Experience in GNC, navigation sensors, state estimation, or related domains.
Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and OO design; ability to develop algorithms and models.

Responsibilities

Develop, simulate, and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for complex autonomous systems.
Build and use dynamic system models and simulations to evaluate behavior and reduce development cycles.
Analyze test data to drive engineering improvements and system performance.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and test teams to validate complex systems.
Experience creating algorithms, system models, simulation tools, controls, or signal processing solutions.
