Job summary

Defense Services is seeking a Systems Engineer IV‑Principal in Dahlgren, VA to support the Naval Systems Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division. This crucial role oversees the integration and certification of AEGIS Weapon System elements, ensuring combat systems meet operational standards.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of ten years of General Surface Navy Combat Systems engineering experience, along with experience in certification processes. A comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan and tuition reimbursement is provided.

Qualifications

• Ten years of General Surface Navy Combat Systems engineering experience.
• Experience with Combat System, Warfare System, or Element certification processes.
• Current DoD Secret Clearance (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide system and engineering support for integration of AEGIS Weapon System elements.
• Perform combat system certification assessments per PEO IWS policy.
• Recommend actions to translate certification defects into operational risks.
