Job summary

TSC is seeking a Systems Engineer VI-Principal to support NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA. The role focuses on integrating AEGIS/Combat systems and ensuring certification readiness through rigorous assessment and documentation.

Ideal candidates bring extensive naval combat systems experience, DoD security clearance, and proven ability to brief senior DoD personnel on risk, status, and certification approaches. This position requires keen attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration in a defense

Qualifications

• 12 years of General Surface Navy Combat Systems engineering experience.
• Experience with Combat System, Warfare System or Element certification processes.
• Current DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• System and engineering support for the integration of AWS elements into certified baselines.
• Perform certification assessments per PEO IWS policy, evaluating effectiveness, capabilities and risks.
• Translate certification defects into operational risks and guidance.
• Gather and maintain artifacts for Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for certification.
• Generate certification documentation and briefing materials including assessment reports.
• Brief senior DoD/DoN personnel and communicate recommendations for process improvement.
