We are currently looking for experienced Systems Engineers who can assume a lead role to support our Combat Vehicle and Naval Guns Product Lines. This position is currently on a 3 days/week on-site schedule with up to 2 days/week remote, on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off (100% remote will be considered), based out of Minneapolis, MN, or Sterling Heights, MI.

As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will:

1. Direct or support requirements development and management.
2. Develop and manage subsystem and component performance specifications by analyzing and deriving necessary requirements.
3. Develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance, along with supporting artifacts.
4. Support requirements decomposition analysis to help drive concept architectures and system characteristics.
5. Direct and facilitate architecture development of assigned systems, subsystems, and components.
6. Direct development and maintenance of interface requirements and interface design information for assigned subsystems, systems, and components.
7. Document concept design decisions and support generating System / Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments.
8. Coordinate and facilitate formal decisions and trade studies to drive design and document results.
9. Support monitoring of cost, schedule, and risk.
10. Coordinate Systems Engineering activities to influence the design.
11. Support vehicle-level Systems Engineering activities and program milestone reviews.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in systems engineering, performing requirements analysis, derivation, and allocation, translating requirements into viable concept design solutions within constraints.
• Experience developing architecture concepts and evaluating alternatives.
• Knowledge of balancing system design considering concept of operations (CONOPS), performance, constraints, and logistics concerns.
• Experience planning, conducting, and documenting complex trade studies.
• Experience generating System / Subsystem Design Descriptions and capability assessments per the program statement of work.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Candidates who do not meet all requirements may be considered for a more junior role or a more senior role with additional experience.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Bachelor's in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering, with a Master's in Systems Engineering.
• Experience with military vehicle systems.
• Logical architecture experience, including use case development.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, and tools like Cameo.
• Familiarity with DoDAF.
• Experience with DOORS requirements management tool.
• INCOSE CSEP certification.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.

Pay Range: $112,420 - $191,070
