Who We're Looking For

General Summary

This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and operational support of SDDC initiatives at Syniverse. It helps drive product/system deployment in line with our Digital Transformation Initiative.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

1. Determine technical requirements through stakeholder interactions and infrastructure knowledge.
2. Continuously improve processes and code to enhance the automation platform.
3. Manage trouble-tickets with vendor support.
4. Participate in troubleshooting with infrastructure and application teams.
5. Join RCA meetings and produce RCA documents.
6. Build KPI dashboards.
7. Support planning, design, and implementation of system changes.
8. Ensure stable performance via monitoring and tuning.
9. Maintain detailed technical documentation.
10. Follow change control policies and procedures.
11. Be available for off-hours escalations as needed.
12. Conduct end-to-end troubleshooting.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
2. 8+ years of IT experience.
3. Application development experience with Linux/Unix, scripting languages, and systems programming.
4. Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
5. Experience with scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, PowerShell.
6. Understanding of networking protocols, firewalling, load balancers, VPN, and network design.
7. Experience with infrastructure automation and orchestration tools.
8. Knowledge of RDBMS platforms and SQL.
9. Understanding of virtual and physical server relationships, data networks, and storage.
10. Knowledge of network infrastructure components and IAM concepts.
11. Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible Tower, Puppet, Jenkins.
12. Ability to customize software for integration.
