Responsibilities
- Provide advice, guidance, and expertise to promote adoption of methods and tools, ensuring adherence to policies and standards. Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate methods and tools at project and team levels, including tailoring and reviews.
- Manage critical administrative tasks for Google Cloud Platform, including network perimeter, permissions, and cloud resources for sensitive clinical data.
- Collaborate with offshore infrastructure teams to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements.
- Demonstrate creativity and initiative in problem-solving, resolving or facilitating resolution of complex issues.
- Perform daily operational support activities across a large Azure-hosted cloud infrastructure platform.
- Lead the Cloud Infrastructure Team, providing escalation and resolution support for senior management.
- Manage a remote team of Operational Engineers, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to end users, stakeholders, and IT team members.
- Support daily operations for VMWare, Azure, and AWS services.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead projects related to software upgrades, patches, and new implementations.
- Coordinate with other IT teams for implementation and support efforts.
- Oversee change management processes and source code/versioning management.
- Provide technical leadership across disciplines, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and automation.
- Lead strategic planning activities such as capacity planning, process improvements, and roadmap development.
- Design and maintain monitoring and alerting systems, and identify automation opportunities.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities through team motivation and technical training.
- Manage crisis situations during high-severity incidents.
- This position is remote-eligible.
Qualifications
- BA or BS in Computer Science, Technology, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure or related fields.
- Knowledge of Microsoft and UNIX operating systems.
- Understanding of networking and security technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and authentication.
- Basic knowledge of storage networks, testing, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Extensive experience with Azure, GCP, and VMware technologies.
- Experience with data center design and vendor management.
- Strong problem management, process analysis, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience with software deployment, security patching, and complex networking environments.
- Proficiency with PowerShell and Active Directory management.
- Leadership experience in managing teams.
Pay Range
$56.83 - $82.40 per hour
