Job summary

Robinson Group seeks a Principal Systems Architect to shape system architecture for AI/compute and networking workloads within a growing, global manufacturing context.

Qualifications

  • BSEE or related degree required.
  • 5+ years in system-level design in data center, computer, networking, or storage industries.
  • Deep knowledge of high-speed interconnect hardware and signaling environments.
  • Experience with computer, networking, AI/ML, or storage architecture.
  • Willingness to travel and collaborate with dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define high-level system architecture requirements and drive product roadmaps.
  • Serve as a technical liaison for Hyperscalers and OEMs to identify emerging technology disruptors.
  • Drive technology vision and strategy, ensuring interconnect solutions support evolving standards like PCIe, CXL, Ethernet, InfiniBand, and AI workloads.
  • Influence industry standards through groups like OCP, PCI-SIG, and IEEE.
  • Lead evaluations of high-speed electrical and optical interconnect solutions (PCIe, CXL, Ethernet).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate technical insights into market-leading products.
  • Drive technical due diligence for potential partnerships and collaboration.

The Principal Systems Architect will be part of a growing, advanced group within global manufacturing client, regularly recognized as a top place to work.

Key Functions:
  • Define high-level system architecture requirements and drive product roadmaps.
  • Serve as a technical liaison for Hyperscalers and OEMs to identify emerging technology disruptors.
  • Drive technology vision and strategy, ensuring the interconnect solutions support the evolving needs of standards like PCId, CXL, Ethernet, InfiniBand, and the next-gen AI workloads.
  • Influence industry standards through participation in groups like OCP, PCI-SIG, and IEEE.’
  • Lead evaluations of high-speed electrical and optical interconnect solutions (PCIe, CXL, Ethernet).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate technical insights into market-leading products.
  • Drive technical due diligence for potential partnerships and collaboration.
Your Background:
  • - BSEE (or related) required.
  • - 5+ years in system-level design in the data center, computer, networking, storage industries
  • - Technical expertise in high-speed engineering and design and in-depth knowledge of hardware and associated signaling environments.
  • - Deep knowledge of computer, networking, AI/ML, or storage architecture.
  • - Work with industry-standard design tools (e.g., simulation, modeling, CAD, or signal integrity analysis).
  • - Ability to travel as well as work effectively with geographically dispersed teams.
