Job summary

RTX Corporation seeks a Principal System Security Engineer (Cybersecurity) to join our Systems Security Engineering team in Tewksbury, MA. The role focuses on protecting weapon system technology through security development, testing, and RMF controls, interfacing with customers and program management.

Onsite position requiring U.S. citizenship and a Secret clearance; 8+ years in SSE, cybersecurity, or embedded security with DoD knowledge. Competitive benefits and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory for clearance eligibility.
• Experience in System Security Engineering, cybersecurity, reverse engineering, or embedded security.
• Experience with NIST RMF.
• Proven technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cybersecurity activities across multidisciplinary engineering teams and serve as the technical interface with customers and stakeholders.
• Develop plans, estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with NIST RMF controls and support SSE architecture discussions.
• Support bids and proposals and define security development and testing efforts.
• Translate top-level system requirements into SSE implementation concepts and ensure DoD licensing compliance.
