Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal System Security Engineer (Cybersecurity) to join our Systems Security Engineering team onsite in Tewksbury, MA. You will coordinate cybersecurity activities across engineering teams and interface with customers, leadership, and subcontractors to ensure robust SSE across programs.

Requirements include a STEM degree, active Secret clearance, and 8+ years in SSE, cybersecurity, or embedded security, with RMF experience and DoD policy familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required before start.
• Experience in System Security Engineering, computer technology reverse engineering, anti-tamper, cybersecurity, or embedded security.
• Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• DoDD 8570/ DoDD 8140 certifications such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH preferred.
• Subcontractor management experience with SSE.
• Strategic planning and experience with U.S. Government contract proposals as an Information Assurance Engineer SME.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cybersecurity activities across multidisciplinary engineering teams and serve as technical interface with customers and stakeholders.
• Develop plans, estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting and risk mitigation.
• Ensure RMF controls are implemented across networks, databases, operating systems, and hardware/software.
• Define security requirements and test efforts, and oversee implementation concepts for subsystems.
• Support development of bids and proposals for SSE-related work.
