Job summary

RTX is seeking Principal System Safety Engineers for onsite roles in MA/RI. You will develop MIL-STD-882E compliant safety programs, manage budgets and schedules, and collaborate with government customers to ensure hazard elimination and robust safety controls.

The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience, plus experience in safety analyses, reporting, and leading safety reviews. Onsite work in multiple New England sites is included.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience developing and implementing MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses.
• Experience writing technical reports and presentations.
• Experience briefing safety status to safety approval authority at technical reviews, safety review boards, or others.
• Experience managing or owning a safety program.
